Drinking Jar
As with the universal cuff, you will see a recurring theme of D-shaped handles. That they are often in the shape of a D is coincidence. The point is that it is a closed loop with an opening suitable for securing a finger or two through. Those appropriate sized spaces remove the need to grasp the handle making the item much more usable by the hands of a quadriplegic.
I do not know when I was first introduced to these quaint jars but they were the perfect jar for both my paralyzed hands and the bachelor pad I was looking to furnish at the time. Since it worked so well, and we are not hung up on fancy things, they remain our regular drinking conveyances.
